Dario is based in Paris. He began his career as a film technician, spending seven years as a camera assistant on numerous commercials and feature films.
In 2017, he shifted his focus from camera work to pursue his true passion: directing. He began directing a number of music videos for prominent French artists like Lomepal, Gims, Orelsan, and Lefa.
With a keen eye for storytelling, Dario then turned his attention to advertising. And while his passion for cinematography and technical skills remain strong, his real fascination lies in exploring human nature—particularly its vulnerabilities, whether in comedy or drama. Dario’s music videos – and frequently his commercials – are crafted like short films, with a strong focus on narrative and compelling actor performances that bring the stories to life.
In 2023, he gained widespread recognition with his CANAL+ commercial, Papa? which he wrote and directed. The film garnered numerous prestigious awards, including a Gold Lion in Cannes, a Grand Prix and 2 Golds at LIA, Gold and Silver at Clio, a D&AD Graphite Pencil as well as 5 Golds at the Shots Awards for Director of the Year, Casting, Direction, Concept, and Copywriting.
His latest CANAL+ film Super was awarded a Silver Lions in Cannes this year.
Apart from directing commercials, Dario is currently working on several fiction projects.
